Wow, No One Died!
This play was much more positive than all of the others we have read. No characters die, and everyone actually seems to get what they want in the end. The women get peace, the men get sex, and the enemy prisoners get freedom. This definitely leads to themes that see the human race in a more positive light. Lysistrata shows us the strength of women, and also the ability of the human race to adapt to change and find compromises. I personally enjoyed this change. I like to think that people can fight for peace and win.

I was kind of expecting someone to mysteriously die from the wine. Man reading tradgedies really changes the way you view things. Right now I'm trying to figure out no one reallly lost. I mean it was a compromise so in a way no one won. I mean I'm sure Peace isn't happ with the truce.
Eh I'm not so sure. She seemed pretty comfortable naked in front of all those guys that just "wanted a piece of her." Plus, from the beginning of the story we know women weren't too cautious or uptight about sex. I think everyone ended up pretty satisfied.
lol, everyone is happy in the end, there's singing and dancy, no mysterious death where a sparten schanks lysistrata, yea there would be expected after reading those other two plays
